ABOUT LIGHT A PAROL

Light A Parol is an opportunity to share FAHSI’s program achievements and successes throughout the past year and to celebrate the holiday season. It will also be a time to recognize our community partners that have helped to accomplish FAHSI’s mission to improve the lives of Filipino Americans in NY. Rose-Ann Ubarra-Cunanan, FAHSI’s Executive Director states “We are truly blessed to have the support of the community in these tough times. In the past year, the community has shown that FAHSI’s services provide a vital lifeline to many Filipino Americans in NY. FAHSI would not be able to continue to provide these services with out the support and dedication of our participants, volunteers, and community members.”

The Light A Parol Program is FAHSI's biggest fundraising event. Contributions will help sustain FAHSI's community-based programs and services for over 200,000 Filipino Americans in the Tri-state area. Our programs include the Seniors Program Samahang Walang Kupas, the Youth Program Leading Youth to Find Empowerment and the Filipina Women’s Support Program.

Light A Parol is open to the public with a suggested donation of $20. If you should have additional questions regarding the event, contact Rose-Ann Ubarra-Cunanan at (718) 883-1295. To make a donation to Light A Parol 2009, visit the FAHSI website at our donation page.
